Job Summary

SysTechCare Support is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Network Security Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure and Security team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the organizations computer networks and systems against threats such as security breaches, computer viruses, or cyber-attacks. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, managing, and monitoring security measures that protect network infrastructure, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and optimal security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network systems including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.

• Monitor network traffic and security events to identify and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.

• Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis across the enterprise network.

• Maintain and update security systems and ensure all network hardware and software is compliant with the latest security standards and best practices.

• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.

• Respond to and investigate network security breaches, report incidents, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with the IT and DevOps teams to support secure application development and system integration.

• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the companys security posture.

• Create technical documentation and security incident reports for management and compliance requirements.

• Provide security training and awareness for employees and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001).

• Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto), intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and VPNs.

• Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network security tools and devices.

• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, AlienVault).

• Working knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in network security or a related role.

• Industry certifications preferred: CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CCNP Security, or equivalent.

Working Hours

• Full-time position: 40 hours per week.

• Flexible working hours with availability for occasional on-call support or emergency response outside of regular business hours.
