Job Summary:

Amazon is looking for a results-driven, dynamic, and experienced Operations Manager to lead, manage, and develop a team within one of our fast-paced fulfillment centers. In this high-impact role, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse floor, ensuring on-time order processing, inventory accuracy, and delivery excellence. You will work directly with team leads, associates, and senior leadership to drive performance, productivity, and safety standards across shifts.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound, outbound, pick, pack, and shipping functions.

  • Lead, train, and manage a team of Area Managers, Process Assistants, and warehouse associates.

  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to ensure performance targets are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Identify and eliminate barriers to productivity, quality, and safety.

  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Amazons operational excellence principles.

  • Conduct performance reviews, team development sessions, and support career progression for team members.

  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations and Amazons compliance standards.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (HR, IT, Finance) to streamline operations and solve complex logistics challenges.

  • Respond effectively to operational escalations and customer-impacting issues.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in team development.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient in data analysis and operational reporting tools (Excel, SQL, or similar).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, logistics, or warehouse leadership.

  • Prior experience in team supervision, performance coaching, and process improvement.

  • Proven track record of meeting KPIs and managing large-scale warehouse operations is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies is a plus.


Working Hours:

  • Full-Time Position

  • Must be flexible to work across day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends or holidays as required.

  • Typical schedule includes 8–10 hour shifts, depending on operational needs.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, inspire, and influence teams.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
