Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is hiring Packaging Operatives for a rewarding opportunity with Greencore – one of the UKs leading food manufacturers. As a Packaging Operative, you will be an integral part of the production line, ensuring food products are packed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards in line with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging machinery and equipment on the production line.

• Inspect products for quality and consistency before packaging.

• Label, seal, and stack packaged goods according to company specifications.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in compliance with food safety regulations.

• Report any machinery faults or safety concerns to the supervisor.

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to health and safety protocols.

• Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

• Assist with stock control and inventory checks when required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic understanding of English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).

• Strong attention to detail with an ability to work quickly and efficiently.

• Willingness to work in a chilled food manufacturing environment.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

• Team player with a positive attitude and good time-management skills.

Experience

• Previous experience in food packaging, production, or warehouse work is an advantage but not mandatory.

• Full training will be provided on the job for all successful candidates.

Working Hours

• Full-time position with flexible shift patterns including day shifts, night shifts, and weekend rotations.

• Typical shift durations range from 8 to 12 hours, depending on production demands.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is a plus.

• Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks in a high-speed production environment.
