Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is actively hiring motivated and detail-oriented individuals for Warehouse Operative positions across the UK. This is a full-time opportunity with Skilled Worker Visa Sponsorship available for eligible foreign applicants. You will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day warehousing operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods in a fast-paced and safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming goods and ensure accurate documentation and quality checks

• Pick and pack products according to client orders using handheld scanners

• Prepare shipments, label packages, and load/unload delivery vehicles

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to meet health and safety standards

• Perform cycle counts and inventory checks as required

• Use warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, trolleys) safely and efficiently

• Follow company procedures and meet daily productivity targets

• Report damaged goods, discrepancies, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Basic understanding of English (reading, writing, and speaking)

• Physically fit and able to lift, bend, and stand for long hours

• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently or in a team

• Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment

• High attention to detail and a strong work ethic

• No formal education required, but basic schooling is preferred

Experience

• No prior warehouse experience is required – full training will be provided

• Previous experience in logistics, packing, or general labour will be considered an asset

Working Hours

• Full-Time: 38–48 hours per week

• Rotational shifts including morning, afternoon, and night shifts

• Overtime available based on operational needs

• Weekend availability may be required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with warehouse systems or barcode scanning is an advantage

• Good organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to adapt to various tasks within the warehouse

• Positive attitude and strong communication with team members and supervisors

• Knowledge of basic health and safety practices in warehousing
