Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a highly skilled Senior Medical Coding Specialist to join our team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of medical coding processes, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, along with a proven track record of maintaining accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, the ability to handle complex cases, and leadership in guiding junior coders to achieve quality and productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, payer requirements, and organizational policies.

• Conduct regular audits to maintain coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and billing teams to resolve coding discrepancies.

• Lead and mentor junior medical coders by providing training and performance feedback.

• Stay updated on regulatory changes, payer guidelines, and medical coding best practices.

• Prepare coding reports and assist in claim submissions to ensure timely reimbursement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, or equivalent.

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and medical billing processes.

• Minimum coding accuracy of 95% and the ability to handle high-volume cases efficiently.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in medical coding software and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience

• Minimum: 3-5 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in hospital or physician billing.

• Preferred: Experience in a leadership or senior coding role, with proven auditing and mentoring capabilities.

Working Hours

• Full-time, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).

• Flexible shifts with opportunities for hybrid or remote support, as per business requirements.

• Ability to analyze complex medical cases with precision.
