HR Service Jobs is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Remote Medical Coding Analyst to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately coding patient medical records, diagnoses, and procedures using the latest ICD, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with healthcare coding standards. Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes.
Ensure compliance with current coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements.
Validate documentation to ensure it meets coding and billing accuracy standards.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in coding or documentation.
Conduct regular quality checks and participate in audits to maintain coding accuracy.
Update knowledge regularly on new coding standards, healthcare policies, and guidelines.
Assist the billing team to ensure proper claim submission and reimbursement processes.
Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, or any medical-related field (preferred).
Certification in medical coding such as CPC, CCS, CCA, or CPC-A.
Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify documentation gaps.
Good communication and analytical skills for working with healthcare professionals.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) and medical coding software.
1 to 3 years of experience in medical coding (freshers with certification may also apply).
Experience in Inpatient, Outpatient, or Specialty coding is an added advantage.
Flexible remote work with 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
Weekend availability may be required for urgent tasks or projects.
Deep knowledge of healthcare coding practices, medical terminology, and clinical documentation.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple coding tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently and maintain high accuracy under minimal supervision.
