HR Service Jobs is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medical Coder to join our growing team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures, and ensuring compliance with all coding guidelines. This role is crucial in supporting the revenue cycle, maintaining accuracy in patient records, and ensuring that insurance claims are processed efficiently.
Review and analyze patient medical records to assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Ensure coding compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify any coding discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines.
Assist in auditing medical records for accuracy and completeness.
Submit coded data to billing departments for insurance claims and reimbursement processes.
Identify and report any trends or discrepancies that may affect revenue cycle operations.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification.
Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge of healthcare compliance, HIPAA regulations, and insurance claim processes.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with medical professionals.
Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on medical coding experience preferred.
Freshers with valid coding certification may also apply.
Full-time role with flexible shifts as per business requirements.
Standard work hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Ability to manage multiple patient records and meet deadlines under pressure.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital management systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Capacity to adapt to frequent updates in coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.
