Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our construction team, specializing in both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in woodworking, installation, and finishing, along with the ability to interpret blueprints and deliver high-quality craftsmanship. This role requires precision, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other materials according to project specifications.

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans to execute accurate construction tasks.

• Build, repair, and install frameworks, furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures.

• Ensure the proper use of carpentry tools, machines, and equipment while adhering to safety standards.

• Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

• Inspect completed work to ensure durability, accuracy, and compliance with client requirements.

• Perform maintenance and repair of carpentry-related structures as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a skilled carpenter in residential and commercial construction.

• Proficiency in the use of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials.

• Strong understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and building codes.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to different projects.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a carpenter in the construction industry.

• Experience in both residential and commercial carpentry projects preferred.

• Prior work with modern and traditional carpentry methods is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.

• Standard working hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

• Overtime or weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.

• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and compliance standards.

• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and work with heavy materials.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
