Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our construction team, specializing in residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and assembling the structural framework of buildings, ensuring all work meets safety, design, and quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, physically fit, and passionate about working in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood or metal frameworks for walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and roofs.

  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to execute framing work accurately.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Inspect completed frameworks to ensure compliance with safety regulations and design requirements.

  • Collaborate with construction teams, site supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met.

  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and modifications on framing structures as needed.

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures on the construction site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Framing Carpenter or in a related carpentry trade.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans.

  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools, measuring instruments, and framing equipment.

  • Good physical stamina, balance, and manual dexterity.

  • High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in carpentry preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in framing carpentry or construction projects.

  • Experience in both residential and commercial construction will be an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position.

  • Standard working hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime based on project needs.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
