Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking experienced and motivated Bricklayers to join our residential construction projects team. This role involves working on new home builds, renovations, and extensions. As a Bricklayer, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining walls, partitions, arches, and other brick structures with precision and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units according to project specifications.

• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and plans.

• Mix and apply mortar, ensuring proper bonding and alignment.

• Construct walls, partitions, chimneys, fireplaces, and decorative stonework.

• Repair and maintain existing brickwork and masonry structures.

• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely.

• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, contractors, and fellow workers to complete projects on schedule.

• Adhere to all health and safety standards on the construction site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of bricklaying techniques and construction methods.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and building plans.

• Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Familiarity with construction safety procedures and regulations.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Bricklayer or in a similar role within residential construction.

• Apprenticeship training or certification in bricklaying is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time role, 40–48 hours per week (Monday to Saturday).

• Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project deadlines.
