Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Virtual Math Tutor to support students in Grades 4–10 with personalized, engaging, and curriculum-aligned math instruction. This remote role is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching, patient in their approach, and committed to helping students build confidence and improve academic performance. You will conduct one-on-one or small-group online sessions, provide clear explanations, track progress, and foster a positive learning environment from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality virtual tutoring sessions covering math concepts for Grades 4–10.

• Explain lessons in an easy-to-understand manner and adapt teaching style to student needs.

• Assess student strengths and weaknesses and provide targeted support.

• Prepare lesson plans, practice exercises, and learning materials as needed.

• Monitor academic progress and provide constructive feedback.

• Assist with homework, test preparation, and skill-building activities.

• Maintain accurate session records and student reports.

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and goals.

• Ensure a professional and encouraging virtual learning environment at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong command of math concepts from basic arithmetic to algebra and geometry.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to simplify complex concepts for young learners.

• Proficiency in using video meeting platforms and digital whiteboards.

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Patient, empathetic, and supportive teaching style.

• Reliable computer, stable internet connection, and a quiet workspace.

Experience

• Previous tutoring or teaching experience (online or offline) is preferred but not mandatory.

• Fresh graduates or college students with strong math knowledge are welcome to apply.

• Experience working with school-aged children is an added advantage.

Working Hours

• Flexible work-from-home scheduling.

• 10–25 hours per week depending on student demand and availability.

• Evening and weekend availability may be required based on student time zones.
