Job Summary

FedEx is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Forklift Associate to support our fast-paced warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklift equipment to accurately pick, move, and load freight while ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company procedures. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse and supporting FedExs commitment to timely and dependable delivery services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to pick, transport, and load orders accurately

  • Perform order picking according to pick lists, shipping documents, and system instructions

  • Load and unload pallets, packages, and freight onto trucks and within designated warehouse locations

  • Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any mechanical or safety issues

  • Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and secure placement of goods to prevent damage

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

  • Follow all FedEx safety guidelines, OSHA standards, and operational procedures

  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet daily productivity targets

  • Assist with inventory checks, cycle counts, and basic warehouse documentation as required


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification through FedEx training

  • Ability to read and understand work orders, labels, and warehouse systems

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and loading

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Basic computer or handheld scanner proficiency


Experience

  • Prior experience as a forklift operator or warehouse associate is preferred

  • Experience in order picking, loading, or distribution center operations is an advantage

  • Entry-level candidates with strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply


Working Hours

  • Full-time and part-time shifts may be available

  • Shifts may include mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
