Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Director / Senior Technical Manager / Senior Technical Lead to provide technical leadership, architectural direction, and hands-on engineering expertise across multiple workstreams. This role combines strategic oversight with active contribution, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing full-stack solutions while mentoring engineering teams and driving delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Serve as the onsite technical lead, providing architectural guidance, technical oversight, and hands-on development support

• Define, enforce, and evolve engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns

• Lead solution design sessions and translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and implementation plans

• Drive technical decision-making across system design, frameworks, security, integrations, data flows, and cloud infrastructure

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure quality delivery and cross-functional alignment

Team Management & Mentorship

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers across experience levels, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and accountability

• Provide structured technical coaching, code reviews, and career development guidance

• Enable effective communication across distributed teams with clear technical direction and delivery expectations

Full-Stack Engineering

• Contribute directly to the codebase, particularly in complex features, architectural frameworks, and performance optimization

• Build and maintain scalable front-end applications using React, TypeScript, state management libraries, and modern component architectures

• Design and develop back-end services and APIs using NestJS, Node.js, and Python, including microservices and asynchronous workflows

• Ensure system security, resiliency, scalability, and performance through rigorous engineering practices

Delivery & Execution

• Lead technical planning, estimation, and execution during roadmap and sprint cycles

• Identify and mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and architectural constraints

• Define metrics and observability practices to monitor system health and performance

• Partner with product and project leadership to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 4+ years in a senior technical leadership role

• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, modular UI architectures, and modern front-end tooling

• Strong expertise in NestJS, Node.js, or Python for back-end development

• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases, caching strategies, and data modeling

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and containerization

• Proven success leading engineering teams or large technical initiatives

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving mindset, ownership attitude, and collaborative working style

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MediaTech, Content Marketing, Audience Intelligence, or Digital Publishing (optional)

• Familiarity with systems for content delivery, personalization, SEO, analytics, or audience engagement

• Exposure to data engineering, ML-driven recommendations, or search technologies
